With the degraded status of the square, and the orientation of least-change renovation, the design team proposed simple yet effective solutions. Increasing the number of seats that are integrated onto the planters. Removing the whole old fountain system, replacing with pumps that return the purified water to the fountain. The pumps aligned along the fountain wall and lower than the water surface create perfect fish scale effect that fades away when touching the foot of the Saint statue.
